WASHING METHOD IN EXTRUSION COATING HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing method in an extrusion coating head capable of easily and quickly washing the inside of the extrusion coating head at exchange of a coating liquid. SOLUTION: In the method, two-layer pigs 9 comprising a high liquid-absorptive pig 10 having toluene absorption amount per unit volume of 0.6 g/cm3and a low liquid-absorptive pig 11 superposed on a front surface in an advance direction of the pig 10 and having toluene absorption amount per unit volume of 0.04 g/cm3are closely fitted to both ends of a manifold 2 of a coating head 1 and are slid in the manifold. The high liquid-absorptive pig 10 is the one made of Teflon (R) needle felt and having thickness of 30 mm and the low liquid-absorptive pig 11 is the one made of polyethylene and having thickness of 10 mm. Toluene is impregnated into the high liquid-absorptive pig 10 as a washing solvent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
