PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling termites, having both of the prevention of penetration of termites and the extermination performance surely killing termites. SOLUTION: This method for controlling termites comprises using a large granular carrier having≥3 mm and≤8 mm long particle size which has not been known hitherto or a mixture of the granular carrier having the particle size with a granular carrier having≥1 mm and <3 mm longest particle diameter or a mixture of the granular carriers containing 0.001 wt.%-5 wt.%, preferably 0.01 wt.%-0.5 wt.% unrepellent insecticide.
