PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization method of a filtering and circulating bathtub capable of effectively sterilizing Legionella in the filtering and circulating bathtub. SOLUTION: In the sterilization method of the filtering and circulating bathtub, hot water in the bathtub 14 is sucked up through a circulation pump 25 to be filtered through a filter 27, and the temperature of which is raised and circulated to the bathtub 14. In the method, a chlorine agent injector 30 is provided in a hot water feed pipe 26 between the circulation pump 25 and the filter. The chlorine agent is injected by the chlorine agent injector 30 so that the concentration of the residual chlorine in the hot water inside the bathtub 14 becomes 0.8 mg/L, preferably, 0.6 mg/L or lower. This injection is repeated once every one hour so that the concentration of residual chlorine in the hot water becomes 0.1 mg/L or higher. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
