<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which reversible charge and discharge reaction is carried out, excellent cycle performance and charge and discharge efficiency can be obtained, and realization of high-capacity and high-energy density is possible. <P>SOLUTION: The positive electrode has a positive electrode active material in which a sulfur single substance, a conductive agent and an adhesive are mixed. As for the negative electrode, carbonaceous materials such as graphite that can occlude and release lithium, silicon, lithium metal, lithium alloy or the like are used. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains a first solvent selected from a group composed of a cyclic ether and linear ether, and a second solvent composed of a room temperature fused salt of which melting point is 60°C or less in the volume ratio of 99.9: 0.1 to 80:20, and contains lithium polysulfide in the saturated state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
