PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information storage medium with electric charges and dipole coupled. SOLUTION: This medium is the information storage medium with electric charges and dipole coupled comprising a substrate, an electrode layer formed on the substrate, a ferroelectric layer formed on the electrode layer, and an insulation layer formed on the ferroelectric layer, thereby recording the information storage medium in which electrically stable information. Also, a friction problem caused by contact between a probe and the information storage medium can be solved by forming an electric field being comparatively long range, while satisfactorily reproducing information without bringing the probe into contact with the information storage medium when reproducing information.
