PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high molecular compound for an indicator which will not fade and which can display by clear variation of hues, even if it is reposited over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The high molecular compound for the indicator is expressed by Formula (1) and Formula (2). In the Formulas, X denotes halogen atom, R1 denotes hydrogen atom, cyano radical, alkyl radical, aryl radical, alkoxy radical, alkoxy carbonyl radical, carboxyl radical, aryloxy radical, aralkyl radical, or aralkosy radical, l, m, n each denote an arbitrary ratio. R2, R3 denote the same or different hydrogen atom, cyano radical, alkyl radical, aryl radical, alkoxy radical, alkoxy carbonyl radical, carboxyl radical, aryloxy radical, aralkyl radical, or aralkosy radical; and p, q, r each denotes an arbitrary ratio.
