<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that has operating parts in several areas of its external face with operation guide device, capable of smoothly guiding a person who suffers from visual sense to a target operating part. <P>SOLUTION: A copying machine 1 has three paper feed cassettes 14, 15, and 16. The paper feed cassettes 14, 15, and 16 are provided with handles 14a, 15a, and 16a, respectively. In order to guide the fingertips of the operator from a reference point 21 on an operation panel 13 to the handle of a target paper feed cassette, guide lines 22, 24, 25, and 26 are formed by arranging projections 23. For the projections 23, a choice can be made between the first position, in which the leading ends of the projections 23 are almost flush with the surface of a body 10 or lower than the surface of the body and the second position, in which the leading ends project from the surface of the body. A control device 40 controls a driving device 30 for the projections 23, and thereby, changing the positions of the projections 23 to the second position, in order to guide the fingertips of the operator to the target handle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
