<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter device where the reliability on current detection is high and the control responsiveness of an AC motor can be raised. <P>SOLUTION: Each phase coils 131-133 of a motor generator MG for wheel drive are connected to each phase of an inverter unit 105 by wiring 121-123. Current sensors 140a, 140b, 141a, 141b are arranged so that the current sensors may be multiplexed in each of a U phase and a V phase being current measuring phases. A controller 115 detects the fault of the current sensors by the comparison of current measuring values by the plurality of current sensors, and also localizes a faulty current sensor by materializing a fault detection mode such that a circulating current flows in the above current measuring phase, at fault detection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
