[Also in Division B8] A multisection casing has two side sections pivoting on a central section and overlapping at the upper edges, two latches each operated by a push button 30 on the central section and connected to a cross piece with bent up tabs 32, the tabs each engage in an opening 34 in a central section and an opening 35 in a side wall of a side section. To release the latch the push button is depressed against the action of a spring 39 which urges the tabs to latching position. The push button extends through an aperture in the central section and through a mounting pad 46 on the outer surface of the central section. The lower portion of the push button is cylindrical and engages in a hole in a bracket 41 secured to the central section. The spring 39 acts between the bracket and the cross piece of the tabs. In latching position the ends of the tabs are connected by a flange 50 on the side walls 24. To facilitate latching the end surfaces of the tabs and walls 24 are inclined.</p> |
