FIELD: psychotherapeutical methods. ^ SUBSTANCE: method can be used for correcting weight of the human body. When analyzing anamnesis and performing questioning, disorders of eating behavior associated with strengthened response to external stimuli are revealed: a kind of food, advertising of foodstuff, and kind of the person accepting food. When disorders are revealed, rational psychotherapy is performed in order to make patient realize the problem. Active positive emotional and voluntary motivation to achieve final effect is formed, namely decrease of the weight by predetermined number of kilos over a given period of time. Principal representative information perception system (visual, aural, kinesthetic) in patient is determined. Thereafter, formula of change in eating behavior stereotype in waking state is composed in order to normalize eating behavior. Patient is then immersed into trans state and first session of indirectly imposed suggestions is carried out involving repetition of composed formula comprising categories of visual objects, aural impressions, and tactile sensation. 50% of the session time is devoted to principal representative information perception system and other 50% to secondary representative systems. In the second session, patient is immersed into trans state and suggestion of stimulation of early satiation to prevent overeating is performed. Treatment course comprises 3-4 sessions carried out with 3-5-day intervals and additional supporting treatment over a 3-month period including 1 session weekly repeating the first session. Method allows achievement of stable decrease of the weight for a long period of time by way of forming new rational eating behavior stereotype depending on type of eating behavior disorder.
