CAULKING METHOD OF COAXIAL CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caulking method of a coaxial connector for producing the connector at a low cost without having to cut an external conductor and without lacking of caulking strength. SOLUTION: A notch part 5a is provided at a ferrule 5 of a cable 2. Each shield wire 2c of the cable 2 is folded and tips of a part of folded each shield wire 2c are positioned at the notch part 5a of the ferrule 5. A part of the conductor 4 and tips of the part of the folded each shield wire 2c are engaged with the notch part 5a by caulking a spot of the conductor 4 corresponding to the notch part 5a from the outside. By producing the connector in such a caulking method, the caulking strength is increased. A failure in a short circuit inside the connector is prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
