Crude acrylic acid containing liquid is distilled with the use of a distillation column to thereby obtain an acrylic acid condensate of 90% or higher acrylic acid purity. An oxygen containing gas (air) is fed through an acrylic acid condensate accommodated in a reflux tank. There is provided a process for efficiently producing a (meth)acrylic acid of high purity in which in the production of (meth)acrylic acid of high purity by distillation, the occurrence of (meth)acrylic acid polymers in the obtained condensate is prevented.
