PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material which has high dispersibility of a photosensitive emulsion dispersion, high sensitivity, low fog and high maximum density, is excellent in image preservability after development and suppresses occurrence of density unevenness by heat development and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material having on a support a photosensitive layer containing non-photosensitive silver salt of aliphatic carboxylic acid particles, a silver ion reducing agent, a solvent and a binder, starting material for an organic silver salt dispersion comprising the non-photosensitive silver salt of aliphatic carboxylic acid particles, the solvent and the binder is dispersed using a medium stirring type dispersion machine in first and second dispersion steps and the medium stirring type dispersion machine used in at least one dispersion step is a dispersion machine packed with ceramic beads of≤0.3 mm.
