<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force control device for a vehicle free of such a risk that the control involves generating a change in the driving force (including speed change and an increase in the braking force) during running in a curve on a low-μroad, allowing the control involving a change in the driving force to take place always in a straight portion of a road, and capable of eliminating deterioration of the drivability on a high-μroad. <P>SOLUTION: The driving force control device for the vehicle is equipped with a control part 46 involving such a control to generate a change in the driving force of the vehicle including a speed change and giving a braking force, in which such a control is prohibited when the vehicle is running on a curve, wherein the arrangement includes a means 36 to sense or presume the slipperiness of the road surface, and the region where the mentioned control is prohibited is changed on the basis of the result from sensing or presuming. When the result shows that the road surface is slippery, the region where the mentioned control is prohibited is set large, which prohibits certainly the control to generate a change in the driving force of the vehicle including a speed change and giving a braking force in the curved path, and the running stability will not lower. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
