Load carrier with coupling device for coupling onto a towing hook of a vehicle comprising the following constructional parts: a coupling house connectable to the load carrier and the towing hook; a two ball clamp members pivotable mounted between side portions and a lever system. By tilting downward and upward the coupling house is easily coupled whereby both ball clamp members are clampingly engaging the ball of the towing hook on both sides. Moreover the load carrier may comprise an easily adjustable load holder, like a cycle wheel holder comprising locking pins which may be snapped into snap-in elements provided in a support tube of the load carrier. Furthermore the load carrier may comprise a load clamp like a cycle frame clamp consisting of two plier-shaped clamp arms and preferably a ratchet element cooperating with an arc-shaped toothing element for easily clamping and releasing a cycle frame tube.
