[Also in Division E2] A framework (e.g. for supporting a boat canopy) for attachment to, and for bridging, spaced supports (e.g. sockets 16 attached to the gunwale 22 of a boat 18), comprises a pair off stanchions 14 for attachment one to each support, an elongate member 12 (such as an arched canopy support), means 10 (see Division E2) for pivotally securing said member to each stanchion, and means (see Division E2) which may be incorporated in 10 or provided on telescoping parts of the arch 12 when the latter is telescopic, for adjusting the spacing of the stanchions 14 when assembled with the member 12 to enable the framework to be attached to supports 16 spaced by different amounts. |
