<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that it is necessary to provide bar codes for the combination of a size and a color to a printed matter when there are many kinds of sizes and colors and the need of increasing the number of pages of the printed matter such as a catalog arises when an article described in a catalog is specified using the bar codes. <P>SOLUTION: Since the article described in the printed matter is specified by reading optical information provided to the printed matter by an optical information reader and performing a key input of a numerical code described in the printed matter to the optical information reader, the need of creating many pieces of optical information and providing them to the printed matter to specify the article is eliminated and the increase of pages of the printed matter or the like is suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
