<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal type continuously variable transmission capable of supplying the sufficient amount of lubricant to a traction contact part for lubrication and cooling, even when a connecting member is mounted on a trunnion to miniaturize the toroidal type continuously variable transmission. <P>SOLUTION: This toroidal type continuously variable transmission comprises first and second discs 2, 4, and a power roller 11 held between the first and second discs 2, 4. Longitudinal both end parts of a supporting plate part 7 of the trunnion 6 are provided with a pair of bent wall parts 8, 8 bent to inner side face sides of the supporting plate part 7 to accommodate the power roller 11, and pivot shafts 5 are respectively concentrically mounted on outer side faces of the bent wall parts 8. The trunnion 6 is provided with a connecting member 54 for connecting tip end parts of the pair of bent wall parts 8, and a front-back through opening 57 is formed on the connecting member 54. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
