PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper holder having a mechanism by which paper can be drawn out by simple operations and can be easily cut off. SOLUTION: The paper holder is provided with a holding means which turnably holds the roll paper and a case part which houses the roll paper and includes the holding means. In this case, the case part is composed of a fixed case part which is fixed to the wall or the like and a moving case part which can be opened and closed. The paper holder includes a cutting means which is mechanically coupled to the moving case and makes cutting lines on the continuous paper drawn out from the roll paper perpendicularly to the direction of its drawing and at specified intervals in conjunction with operations of the moving case.
