<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a definite means, device, and method for topical application of various drugs/drug compounds for prevention and treatment of vascular diseases. <P>SOLUTION: Various medical devices, especially implantable ones can be coated with any number of biocompatible materials so as to minimize or substantially eliminate a biological organism's reaction to an introduction of the medical device to an organism. These medical devices can be coated wtih an arbitrary number of biocompatible materials. Various therapeutic drugs, agents or compounds, which can minimize the biological organism's reaction to the introduction of the medical device to the organism, can be mixed with the biocompatible materials and fixed to at least a portion of the medical device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
