PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable toilet for which the position of a backrest is easily adjusted without raising costs. SOLUTION: Backrest columns 2 are respectively erected on both sides of the back part of a seat type toilet body 1 and upper and lower fixing holes 3 are provided on a plurality of parts at the upper parts of the backrest columns 2. Connection holes 5 are provided on a plurality of upper and lower parts corresponding to the fixing holes 3 of the backrest columns 2 on the side face of the backrest 4, and the plurality of connecting holes 5 at the other parts are formed on a circumference with one of connecting holes 5 as the center. By arranging the backrest 4 between the upper parts of the backrest columns 2 and freely detachably connecting fixing tools 6 inserted into the fixing holes 3 of the backrest column 2 to the connecting holes 5 of the backrest 4, the backrest 4 is attached to the backrest columns 2. By selecting the connecting hole 5 to be connected by the fixing tool 6 among the plurality of connecting holes 5 arranged on the circumference, the backrest 4 is turned around the connecting hole 5 arranged at the center of the circumference and the positional adjustment of an inclination angle is performed.
