PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security to a request to access a storage device using an iSCSI protocol from a host. SOLUTION: A management method for access control that manages access permission at an access request sent from an external device to the storage device through a network comprises: receiving a frame of a login request sent from outside by the storage device and deciding whether the received frame includes 2nd information specifying the external device (1st decision); making a request to acquire 1st information specifying the external device thereto when the result of the 1st decision shows that the 2nd information is not included and making a check on the acquired 1st information (2nd decision); and complying with the request to access the storage device from the external device when the result of the 2nd decision shows that the access is permitted.
