<p>The windscreen as well as the other windows of the vehicle are fitted with twin panes, the outer pane rigid, the inner pane elastic. When driving in an area high above sea level the inner pane shows a tendency to bulge. The space between both layers is filled with a suitable gaseous medium, supplied by a connecting duct (11) from an external container (13). The container (13) is flexible, releasing gas into the space under high atmospheric pressure and accommodating a larger amount when the pressure is reduced.</p> |
