<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient dressing method by which the clogging of a grinding tool in a continuous grinder with a rotating grinding tool can be prevented and the flatness of the grinding face can be easily corrected. <P>SOLUTION: The continuous grinder is composed such that a glass sheet 1 is placed at a predetermined position of a transfer conveyor 20 and transferred, and the glass sheet on the transfer conveyor is pressed and ground by the rotating grinding tool provided above the transfer conveyor 20. A dressing plate 5 is provided with a plate-like body 5b, which has nearly the same dimension as that of the glass sheet 1, and a dresser 5a which has a predetermined rough surface imbedded to a region of a grinding pad 2 abutting on the whole of the contact face with the glass sheet 1. The method for dressing the grinding pad 2 is executed in the following manner.
