PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an occurrence of a signature bent at the edge, wrinkled, or the like in high-speed operation regarding a folding device provided with folding rollers suitable for high-speed operation. SOLUTION: A pair of folding rollers 1a, 1b are provided at a folding machine of a rotary press, and a cutout part 8a formed by faces brought closer to an axis than an outer peripheral surface and extended in an axis direction so as to be parallel with the axis is provided at a part of the outer peripheral surface of each of the folding rollers 1a, 1b. The cutout part 8a is smoothly and continuously connected to the outer peripheral surface, and the phase relationship of both folding rollers 1a, 1b are set so that the cutout parts 8a formed at the respective folding rollers 1a, 1b face each other when the pair of folding rollers 1a, 1b are opposedly rotated.
