PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam attemperator capable of promoting the uniform dispersive mixing of an superheated steam of high temperature and high pressure and the cooling fluid mixed therein, and uniformly lowering a temperature of the superheated steam. SOLUTION: An attemperation pipe 5 of this steam attemperator 1 is formed into the nozzle shape having a constriction part 5c of which an inner diameter of a central part is smaller than both side ends 5a, 5b, and cooling steam introduction pipes 6a-6f are mounted on the constriction part 5c for introducing the cooling steam to the inside of the attemperation pipe 5.
