PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized throttle control device for an engine intake system. SOLUTION: The throttle control device comprises a throttle body 10 defining an intake passage 11a, a throttle valve 20 for opening/closing the intake passage 11a, a throttle shaft 30 supporting the throttle valve 20, a driving motor 40 for generating driving force, and a gear train 50 including a driving gear 51 connected directly to the driving motor 40, a driven gear 52 connected directly to the throttle shaft 30 and an intermediate gear 53 for transmitting driving force. The throttle body 10 has a storage portion 12 storing the driving motor 40 and a wall face portion 13 formed integrally therewith on which the gear train 50 is arranged. The intermediate gear 53 is arranged with its center located eccentrically from a line M connecting the center of the driving gear 51 to that of the driven gear 52.
