PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator of simple structure reduced in the number of parts items and manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The actuator 1 is provided with an upper gear case 2, a lower gear case 3, a resin inner pipe 5 supported freely to move forward and backward, and a DC motor 6. The upper gear case 2 and the lower gear case 3 are formed by dividing a case into two along the center axis of the inner pipe 5. The gear case 4 structured of the upper gear case 2 and the lower gear case 3 is integrally provided with a pedestal part 43 to be loaded with the DC motor 6, a gear housing part 42 for housing a worm gear 61 and a worm wheel 14, and limit sensor housing parts 81 and 91 housing limit sensors 8 and 9 for detecting limit position of the inner pipe 5.
