The container (5), at a dosing assembly (4) for a biogas plant, has vegetable matter fed in from above to be homogenized by a mixing screw (6) with cutting blades (7). Portions are transferred under control by a conveyor screw (15,16) to a fermenter (1). The outer mantle of the container is fitted with heaters (8) wholly or partially, as pipes (12) in a serpentine or spiral path. The conveyor screw is shrouded by heaters (17) and an insulation (18).
