The machine, comprising a frame with at least two sub-assemblies equipped with tilling implements, has its second or rear sub-assembly fitted with soil cutting and lifting blades, e.g. for clearing stubble, mounted above a carriage (7) coupled to the main frame by a pivot system (13). The carriage can be rotated about the pivot by power cylinders (12) so it can be set in at least two positions: a transport position in which the carriage is lowered and its wheels (8) are on the ground to support the frame, and a working position with the carriage raised and its wheels located between tilling blades.
