The invention relates to a fuel injector (1) for an accumulator injection system for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber (43) of in internal combustion engine. The fuel injector (1) comprises a body (2) of said injector and a nozzle body (3). A multipart injection valve element (21) is lodged in the nozzle body (3). A hydraulic conversion arrangement (9) is connected downstream of a piezo actuator (6). Control chambers (19, 20) are assigned to the multipart injection valve element (21) for the actuation thereof. The hydraulic conversion arrangement (9) that is actuated by means of the piezo actuator (6) has conversion chambers (13, 17) that are directly and hydraulically connected to the control chambers (19, 20) actuating the needle parts (22, 23) of the injection valve element (21). |
