PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple-structure electromagnetic relay which facilitates reduction in sizes and the number of components. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic relay 10 has an electromagnetic coil 12, and a pair of a conductor 14 which are disposed facing each other in the interior space 12A of the electromagnetic coil 12, and either of which is a swingable magnetic body, and a magnetostrictive bimorph 16. The pair of the conductors 14 and the magnetostrictive bimorph 16 are so constructed as to contact with or separate from each other by a magnetic field generated by the electromagnetic coil 12.
