PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grating for reducing manufacturing cost, while preventing generation of a sound by looseness of a cross bar. SOLUTION: After arranging respective main bars 2 in parallel at a predetermined interval by welding respectively extending side bars 3 along both side end parts of the respective main bars 2 to both side end parts of a plurality of main bars 2, a cross bar 4 is sandwiched by groove side wall surfaces 7 and 7 opposed in the groove width direction of a recessed groove 6 by pressing the cross bar 4 from above in the recessed groove 6 formed on the upper edge of the respective main bars 2. Thus, looseness of the cross bar 4 is prevented, and even when passing on the grating 1, a sound caused by impactive contact of the main bars 2 and the cross bar 4 is not generated. The recessed groove 6 of the main bars 2 is preferable in a simple shape such as a square groove and a U groove, and since a shape of a press metal mold used for forming these recessed grooves 6 also becomes simple, production cost of the press metal mold is reduced, and manufacturing cost is reduced.
