PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide crimped hollow polytrimethylene terephthalate fiber excellent in stretchability, softness, dyeability and lightweightness. SOLUTION: The crimped polytrimethylene terephthalate-based polyester fiber has hollows on the fiber cross section, meeting the following requirements(1) to (5) simultaneously: (1) the ratio of hollow area to fiber cross section area( hollow percentage ) is 10-40%, (2) elastic recovery percentage of 10% elongation is≥70%, (3) crimp percentage is≥1.0%, (4) maximum thermal stress is≤0.180 cN/dtex, and (5) tenacity is≥1.9 cN/dtex.
