<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the sampling timing quickly by obtaining excellent reproduced waveforms with less distortions in a simple configuration of an ITR (Interpolated Timing Recovery) data reproducing device. <P>SOLUTION: Each sampling period Ts of an arbitrary interpolation function f(t) is divided into two or more periods, and the data of each interpolating dot within each divided period are computed by carrying out linear interpolation for each divided period. The pipeline operation is conducted by taking out only the integer represented section in binary digits as the quotient obtained after integer dividing the sampling timing with one sampling period, and taking that number of the sampling data Ds into the interpolation filter.
