The liquid crystal display device comprises: a first substrate having a display area and a non-display area; a second substrate; a sealing unit configured to surround the display area and arranged between the first and second substrates; a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates and surrounded by the sealing unit; and at least one prevention wall between the sealing unit and the display area. The prevention wall has a tapering angle different from a tapering angle of a pattern arranged on the display area.
