The invention relates to a motor vehicle (1) equipped with at least one first crash sensor (S1), which is mounted in a safety zone (4) of the motor vehicle (1) and which serves to measure a quantity of motion of the motor vehicle (1). The motor vehicle is also equipped with at least one second crash sensor (S2), which is mounted in a crash zone (3) of the motor vehicle (1) and which serves to measure a quantity of motion (aS2) of the motor vehicle (1). The motor vehicle (1) comprises an occupant protection device (15, 16), which can be controlled by an activating signal (CRASH, AIR, BELT), and a controller (2) for determining the activating signal (CRASH, AIR, BELT) according to the measured quantities of motion (aS1, aS2) or a respective temporal mean value (v0S1, v0S2) of the measured quantities of motion (aS1, aS2) over at least one first time interval ([<t>0- tau 0,<t>0]). |
