Turbine and method of minimising the gap between a rotor blade and a turbine housing

The method involves adjusting a gap by displacing a rotating turbine blade (120) and a turbine casing (138). An electric circuit is formed between the blade and the casing. The gap is measured via an electrical resistance in the electric circuit. The electric resistance indicates that there is an electrical contact between the blade and the casing. A minimum gap is set based on the measured electrical resistance. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a gas turbine comprising a rotating turbine blade and a turbine casing (B) a method of determining wear behavior in the axial direction of a turbine blade.
