<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method related to a printer capable of detecting characteristics of a printing document, and either adding a response operation to an operation for printing the document or starting the response operation instead of the operation. <P>SOLUTION: For example, the above described printer can extract a field and a value by an electronic style, and can store the information into a data base.
