PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a center to confirm success or failure of download and operating situations of a program in an onboard terminal in a communication system for downloading programs from the center to the onboard terminal. SOLUTION: When downloading of the program from the center 11 is completed, the onboard terminal 21 notifies a user of the effect by sound. Also, the terminal 21 transmits to the center information that the program has activated and normally operated with the same timing as the one with which the downloaded program is initially activated.
