PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical ferrule keeping a superior positioning precision hardly causing heat generation and melting when the ferrule is irradiated with a laser beam at the time of being connected or disconnected to/from an optical connector, and also to provide an optical ferrule identification method for easily identifying a ferrule for high output laser and a ferrule for low output laser. SOLUTION: The optical ferrule is constituted so that at least a part forming a connecting end face is composed of a resin part in which mixing of a carbon filler is avoided. The optical ferrule is desirably composed of a while resin. Also, the identification method of the optical ferrule is by using different colors in the manner that a ferrule for a high output laser beam is formed with a white resin while one for a low output is formed with a black resin.
