PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of effectively sterilizing suspended bacteria. SOLUTION: The air conditioner has a dust sensor for detecting dust in a room, an odor sensor for detecting odor in the room, and temperature and humidity sensors for detecting the room temperature and humidity. When the room condition detected by the dust sensor, the odor sensor, and the temperature and humidity sensors, is under a specified condition, it is characterized by shifting the operation mode from small to large ability of the means for cleaning the room air.
