<p>A throttle opener for a carburettor has a diaphragm device which has it's housing partitioned into a vacuum chamber (26) and an atmospheric chamber (27), by means of a diaphragm member (25). The vacuum chamber (26) is made to have communication through a communication passage (30), with an intake passage (7), just upstream of a throttle valve (17). A rocker arm (34), which has it's one end connected to the afore-mentioned diaphragm member is positioned to have it's other end in front of a connecting member (31), which is connected to said throttle valve. By means of the inventive throttle opener, it is possible to prevent the tendency of enriching an air-fuel mixture at the initial stage of the deceleration and to eliminate any reduction in the braking effect upon the engine.</p> |
