<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer support which does not give rise to problems, such as density degradation, image density unevenness, image streaks, sleeve ghosts and fogging, even under different environmental conditions and makes images of a high image density and high grade stably obtainable, and provide a developing method. <P>SOLUTION: The developer carrying member, which has at least a substrate and a resin-coated layer formed on the surface of the substrate and in which the resin-coated layer, contains at least graphitized particles having 0.20 to 0.95 of graphitization degree p (002) and roughing particles; the volume (B) of shape of a minute concavo-convex moiety measured by a certain area (A) of the minute concavo-convex moiety meets the relationship 4.5≤B/A≤6.5, and the arithmetic mean roughness Ra on the surface of the resin-coated layer is 0.9 to 2.5 μm and the developing method using the developer carrying member are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
