PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boot for optical connectors which has improved flexibility and generates less unnecessary stress upon an optical fiber tape. SOLUTION: A boot 14 for optical connectors is a cylindrical member made of a flexible material and is fixed to a cylindrical aperture part 2a in the rear end side of a ferrule 2 of an optical connector 10 by adhesion in a state an optical fiber tape 3 is inserted into the boot. The boot 14 is provided with slits 15 and 16 connecting to an internal hole 14a. The flexibility of the boot 14 is improved by the slits 15 and 16. When the inside of the boot 14 is filled with an adhesive 5 through an adhesive charging window 2c of the ferrule 2, the first slit 15 prevents the adhesive from penetrating from the boot front end up to the boot rear end through a gap between the inside surface of the boot 14 and the outer surface of the optical fiber tape 3 by capillarity.
