<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system which is capable of changing the display pattern of information on equipment mounted on a vehicle according to the position of a user. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing system comprises a control device mounted on the vehicle and a terminal device outside the vehicle. The control device retrieves a user ID and a user password, which constitute the identification information of the user, from the terminal device, and selects an item to be displayed and equipment information on the basis of the retrieved identification information (S425). The control device then collects the equipment information that corresponds to the item from equipment in the vehicle (door ECU or the like) (S430), and creates system information including the information on the selected item and the collected equipment information.
