PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heald frame and a heald improved so as to have a high operating speed. SOLUTION: This heald 14 to be mounted on the heald frame 1 has such a structure that the heald has least one end part hole 15, 16, the end part hole has a back face web 23 for joining a head region 24 and a bottom region 21, and a first leg part 25 and a second led part 26 extend from the head region 24 and the bottom region 21, respectively, so as to locate at intervals between the back face web 23, wherein a space is formed between the head region 24 and the bottom region 21 so that the space has a height H2 of at most 17.5 mm when measured in parallel with the back face web 23.
