The invention relates to novel compounds of 5-thioxylose and, preferably, 5-thioxylopyranose-type derivatives. The invention also relates to the method of preparing said compounds and to the use of same as an active principle in medicaments that are intended, for example, for the treatment or prevention of thromboses or heart failure.
