<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game device which can perform the capability raising of items independently by an item, and can perform a game by the item with a raised capability when the item is utilized in the board game next time. <P>SOLUTION: This board game device has at least one item having a recording medium which can be read and written by a computer, a display screen which displays an image and at least one of characters under a specified game situation by using information recorded in the recording medium, and at least one input switch which outputs a control signal to the board game device. Thus, the shape of the item, the display screen, and a role or the like are changed accompanying the progress of the game.
