The present disclosure relates to an image sensor that makes it possible to prevent problems, such as mixing of colors, stray light, and a decrease in profile resolution, that could occur in an image sensor having a structure in which a light-shield member is disposed on a light-receiving element layer, and to an electronic device. The image sensor according to an aspect of the present disclosure is provided with: a light-shield member which includes light-shield walls and light-transmitting portions formed in opening portions between the light-shield walls; a first light-shield layer which is formed on a light-incident surface side of the light-shield member and which includes an opening portion for each of the opening portions of the light-shield member, the opening portions in the first light-shield layer being narrower than the opening portions in the light-shield member; a micro lens for each of the opening portions in the first light-shield layer, disposed on the light-incident surface side of the light-shield member; and a light-receiving element layer in which a number of light-receiving elements are arranged to perform photoelectric conversion in accordance with incident light that has been condensed by the micro lenses and has been input via the light-transmitting portions of the light-shield member. The present disclosure may be used in a compound-eye optical system, for example. |
